About Mamanuca Islands
The Mamanuca Islands are a group of small coral and volcanic islands just off the west coast of Viti Levu, close enough to Nadi to reach by boat in well under two hours. Many islands hold a single resort, and the range runs from family-friendly properties with kids' clubs to adults-only retreats and budget backpacker stays. The group suits short trips and first-time Fiji visitors who want beaches and snorkelling without long transfers. It is busier and more developed than the Yasawa Islands to the north.
Getting there
Fly into Nadi International Airport (NAN) on Viti Levu. High-speed catamarans run daily from Port Denarau and stop at many island resorts, and resorts also arrange private boat transfers. Seaplanes and helicopters from Nadi reach the islands in a few minutes. There are no airports in the Mamanucas.
