Fafa Island Resort occupies a small coral island in the lagoon north of Tongatapu, about a 15-minute boat ride from Nuku'alofa, Tonga's capital. It has around a dozen traditionally designed fales set among palms and sand. The island is small enough to walk around, with snorkeling off the beach. It suits couples who want to stay somewhere peaceful near the capital, and travelers using Tongatapu as a base before or after flights to Vava'u or Ha'apai. Transfers are arranged by boat.
