Les Relais de Joséphine
About this stay
Les Relais de Joséphine is a family guesthouse right on the edge of Tiputa Pass, the channel where Rangiroa's lagoon meets the ocean and one of the best-known dive sites in French Polynesia. Seven bungalows look over the pass or the garden, and dolphins are often seen in the pass from the terrace. Several dive centres and the small port of Ohotu are close by. It suits divers and snorkelers who want to be next to the pass, and couples who prefer a small family-run pension to a resort.

About Rangiroa
Rangiroa is the largest atoll in French Polynesia and one of the largest in the world, a ring of more than 200 motu enclosing a lagoon about 75 km long. It is so wide that the far side lies below the horizon. It suits divers, snorkellers and travellers who enjoy simple island life. Compared with Fakarava it has more services and accommodation, but it is still small-scale, with two villages and a short road.
Getting there
Rangiroa's airport (RGI) is on the main motu between Avatoru and Tiputa. Air Tahiti flies from Papeete in about an hour, and some routes connect with other Tuamotu atolls or Bora Bora. Inter-island cargo ships also call, sailing from Papeete.
