Sea Change Eco Retreat
About this stay
Sea Change Eco Retreat is a small eco retreat on Uoleva, a quiet island in Tonga's Ha'apai group reached by boat from Pangai. Guests stay in beachfront glamping-tent fales or solid timber fales, with meals provided as a daily package. The retreat runs small-group humpback whale swims in season, plus snorkeling, fishing charters, massage and yoga in an open-air shala, all from the beach. It suits travelers who want to unplug completely, sleep a few steps from the sea and spend their days in the water.

About Ha'apai
Ha'apai is the central island group of Tonga, a scatter of low coral islands and a few high volcanoes between Tongatapu and Vava'u. It suits travellers who want quiet beaches, snorkelling and whale watching without the boat traffic of Vava'u. Services are basic and accommodation is limited, so it rewards people who are happy with simple facilities and slow days.
Getting there
Domestic flights connect Nuku'alofa on Tongatapu with Lifuka's Salote Pilolevu Airport (HPA). An inter-island ferry also runs between Tongatapu, Ha'apai and Vava'u, but schedules shift with the weather, so allow flexibility in your plans.
